Once sent, thanks to location and event recognition in Photos, the recipient's Photos app will automatically suggest their photos from the same event to share back to you. Using Faces and your contacts list, when sharing photos, the people who appear in the photo itself now automatically appear as suggestions for who to send it to. Share suggestions makes it easier to find who you want to send your photos to. In iOS 12, search suggestions make it easier to find what you're looking for without even having to type a query. iOS already has object recognition in Photos allowing you to search for your photos based on who or what is in them. Also getting some nice improvements is the Photos app. ARKit allows developers to take advantage of Apple AR features and incorporate them into their third party apps. Shared experiences is perfect for multi-user AR use cases, as it enables the AR environment to be seen from different perspectives. For developers, Apple released the ARKit 2 SDK, bringing improved facial recognition, 3D object detection and more. You can either drag a line from one edge to another on an object (the position of the points will be preserved even if the camera is moved) or you can tap on a rectangular object, which would be automatically detected, to get its dimensions instantly. The app uses AR to detect an object's boundaries and scale in order to give you its dimensions. Furthermore, Apple is launching a new app called Measure. Viewing these files will place the graphics into an augmented reality experience and the camera launches automatically. USDZ files are designed to be easy to share and contain data of 3D graphics or even animations for use with Augmented Reality. With iOS 12, Apple is introducing an all-new file format, USDZ, which stands for Universal Scene Description. The first one Apple discussed was improvements to Augmented Reality (AR), made possible by a collaborative effort by Apple and Pixar. While the performance alone is impressive, hundreds of new features are coming to iOS 12 as well.
